AC Motor and Curtis controller
This motor was purchased from
Thunderstruck Motors in the USA and is their AC12 motor, the
kit includes a Curtis 1236-6301 controller that operates at
48-80V and can draw up to 300A producing up to 25HP and 80ft-lbs of
torque. This motor would be ideal for a medium size boat but was a bit
small for my 57ft narrow boat. The motor is currently mounted in a frame

hour pulse charger with 50 metre mains lead. Very comfortable and silent,
recently completed a cruise of the entire length of the Thames winning us the
Emsworth Trophy. The hull was built in 2007 by Blackstones of Doncaster. The
laucnh has a CE / CIN number, BSS Certificate and 2011 Thames river licence.
Four of the batteries were fitted new in late 2008 and another four in 2009.

| The hull construction is of double diagonal mahogany on oak & elm frames all of
which has been restored & repaired professionally. She has been encapsulated
using West System Epoxy resin to produce a beautifully smooth water tight hull.
The layout has been designed for ease of cruising and comfort. There are large
walkways to gain access into the boat and a substantial back deck with access to
a large storage hold with
additional storage under the wheelhouse floor. The wheelhouse is spacious & well lit housing the
galley, comfy day seating area and helm with hydraulic steering. The forward cabin has plenty of natural daylight provided by the Thompson hatch
and has a double berth, heads compartment (with porta potti) and more storage.
Heating is provided by a small Nelson coal stove set in a marble surround, which
makes her ideal for cruising all year. 150 litre water tank.
The 24 volt motor is powered by 4 x 6volt 270amp batteries (bought new 2010)
there is also a separate back up bank of 200amp. Charging is via an onboard
Victron charger. There is plenty of room to install additional batteries should
you require. The domestic electrics are provided by 2 x 12volt
100amp batteries. There is LED lighting throughout and a Victron inverter.

was built by Saunders Patent Launch Building Syndicate, Goring
on Thames in 1901 and has been in constant use for the last 20
years, mainly on the upper Reaches of the Thames and is always
at the Henley Regatta and Festivals and is on the National
Register of Historic Vessels reserved for craft of exceptional
merit and on Small Ships Register. Awarded Thames Trophy 2003
Current Professional Survey Boat in excellent condition.

Mythical Maid is equipped for all weather and
